The AMD Ryzen 5 5600X3D is a desktop processor with 6 cores and 12 threads, launched in July 2023. It utilizes the AMD AM4 socket. The Ryzen 5 5600X3D has 96 MB of L3 cache and operates at 3.30 GHz by default, but can boost up to 4.40 GHz, depending on the workload. The unlocked multiplier on the Ryzen 5 5600X3D makes it much easier to overclock, allowing you to choose any desired frequency. Thanks to AMD Simultaneous Multithreading (SMT) the core-count is effectively doubled to 12 threads. This processor supports memory speeds up to DDR4-3200 utilizing dual memory channels. The processor was built using 7nm production process. Ryzen 5 5600X3D communicates with other components in the computer through a PCI-Express Gen 4 link.
