The AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D is a desktop processor with 16 cores and 32 threads, launched in Mar 2025. It utilizes the AMD AM5 socket. The Ryzen 9 9950X3D has 128 MB of L3 cache and operates at 4.30 GHz by default, but can boost up to 5.70 GHz, depending on the workload. The unlocked multiplier on the Ryzen 9 9950X3D makes it much easier to overclock, allowing you to choose any desired frequency. Thanks to AMD Simultaneous Multithreading (SMT) the core-count is effectively doubled to 32 threads. This processor supports memory speeds up to DDR5-5600 utilizing dual memory channels.
